Physical/Occupational Therapy

Our treatment focus:

We at Northwest Rehabilitation follow a strict Manual Therapy approach to treatment of neck, back and joint related conditions. The Manual Therapy approach is focused on normalization of joint mechanics (mobility, strength and coordination) by using hands-on Manual Therapy techniques (joint mobilization/manipulation, traction, friction massage-ASTYM, etc.), specialized strengthening and Neuromuscular re-education. When joint mechanics are optimized, pain quickly resolves and long term functional improvement is obtained.

Manual Therapy techniques are extremely effective in their ability to improve mobility of desire tissues, but to use them safely and effectively a high level of specialization is required. James Olson MAPT, MTC and Kaysie Hendrickson DPT, ATC, MTC are the only nationally certified Manual Therapists in west central MN, and 2 of only 15 such certified therapist in the entire state. Mr. Olson has established all the Manual Therapy treatment protocols utilized at Northwest Rehabilitation and is mentoring our other Therapists as they themselves progress toward their own Manual Therapy national certification.

How to access Physical and Occupational Therapy care:

Physical and Occupational Therapy is covered by most insurances, if you feel these services would benefit you contact your insurance company to find out if a provider order is required.

• If needed, insurance accepted provider referrals can come from: MD, DO, PA, Nurse Practitioner, DDS
